Exercises for Low Back
Low back pain is the commonest complaint encountered in a rheumatological clinic. Bhujangasana
Also known as Cobra posture causes significant back extension and mobility of the prolapsed disc back into its place. Gradual and progressive practice will help to resolve back pain well.

Backward Leg Rise
Also known as Salavasana, this exercise does the same good to the disc as Bhujangasana. Practice it slowly along with a supporting individual.

Bridge
Although little bit difficult for obese individuals, this exercise as per the image can achieve quick pain free state of the back.

Cat & Cow
Progressive Cat and Cow posture as demonstrated in the image causes gradual reduction in the disc prolapse and increase mobility of the facet joints. It helps to relieve back pain quickly.

Nutritious Diet
Nothing beats a nutritious low calorie diet full of fibres and proteins. Low carb diet with lots of colourful vegetables helps in significant weight loss-the most important target.
